My Favorite Lipsticks for Fall

November 13, 2017

It is no secret that when it comes to makeup eyeshadow and lipsticks are my absolute favorite products to play around with. So, I thought I would show you the lipsticks I tend to use the most during the fall time. If you’re a Taylor Swift fan, then you know that around the fall time is when she will release one of her new albums, and she does all the press stuff while wearing red lipstick. I think that’s one of the reasons that I have always found myself wearing red lipstick more in the fall than any other season (thanks Taylor). Red is also one of those classic colors that look amazing for the holidays. But reds are not the only color I tend to favor in the fall time. As the weather grows colder, my wardrobe grows darker. I think since I live in Texas and can only wear long sleeves two weeks out of the year, unless I want to die from heat stroke, I use darker colored clothes to express all those fall vibes. And my lipstick choice is no exception.

Bombshell Pink by Covergirl.
I have probably worn this lipstick in this color for three different fall seasons and let me tell you, it is still one of my favorites. This lipstick is perfect for anyone who is a little scared to leave the pinks behind and transition to a red lipstick. I love it because it is a deep pink color and so gorgeous. Like I previously mentioned, during the fall I will reach for darker colors and this is one of the most perfect deep pink lipsticks I have ever found.

This lipstick is only one shade darker than the Bombshell Pink one, but it is a true red. This is exactly like Bombshell pink without the pink tint. This has been not just a fall favorite but one of my all-time favorite red lipsticks. I love how it is shiny but it doesn’t look overly glossy. It looks very chic and not like you are try too hard with the red lipsticks like some lipsticks look like.

Rocksteady by Urban Decay.
This lipstick is my everything. I only use it for special occasions during the fall time such as Thanksgiving dinner or something formal. This lipstick is the classic red lipstick every girl should own with a little bit of a metallic tint that makes it unique. This lipstick is one that is meant to be a statement piece so I tend to wear neutral colors and very natural eyeshadow shades, but you could easily make it fit in with your style. I love it because if I was going to a formal event then I would reach for it, but if I was going to a concert I would also reach for it. It’s one of those lipsticks that works in a universal setting.

This is one out of the two dark purple shades that I absolutely adore. I always feel so powerful like I could rule the world and conquer all the enemies I don’t have when I wear this lipstick. I have always been a fan of lipsticks that have purple tones and this one has to be one of my all-time favorites. If you are looking for a dark lipstick that will still look somewhat elegant and not completely gothic, then this is perfect for you. It’s the girly girl’s choice for dark lipstick.

This lipstick is the newest one that I have added to my fall favorites, and it is quickly becoming my favorite out of all the lipsticks I mentioned. There’s two things about this lipstick that I love. First is the texture of it. When you apply it, it feels very silky and nourishing almost as if it was Chapstick. The second thing I love is you can build up the color without it looking cakey. I have owned so many dark lipsticks that would look so much better if they were just a tad bit darker, but when I add more, it begins to look clumpy as if I put on ten coats too many. This lipstick is so light that when you build the color up, it looks like it is meant to be that way.
