My 2017 Favorite Products.

January 1, 2018

It is officially the first of the New Year! As much as I am excited for all of the new makeup products to come out this year, I first wanted to reflect on 2017. Here are all of the products I absolutely fell in love with and used the most this year.

Peach Eyeshadow Palette by Too Faced.
I got this back in February for my birthday, and I used it constantly throughout the entire year. Too Faced has been my favorite brand for so long and this palette has to be one of my all time favorites of theirs. These colors are beautiful and the perfect shades for me. I love all the different shades of pink and how many looks you can create with this palette.

Modern Renaissance Eyeshadow Palette by Anastasia Beverly Hills.
When I first got this palette, I did not like it at all. In fact, I was upset I had spent so much money on a palette I never saw myself using again. But then, I gave it a second chance. And that is how I fell in love with this palette. The color ‘burnt orange’ gave me a ton of mixed feelings. Never in my life did I think I would use a color called burnt orange because I personally feel orange would never look good on me. I was completely wrong, and that ended up being the exact shade I would use almost every day. Even when I created different looks, I still found myself using this shade in all the looks. This palette has been my favorite for so long now.

Dual Concealer and Highlighter by E.L.F.
This is one of the products that, while I used every day of 2017, I discovered this years before. But, this is still an absolute favorite of mine. I have tried other concealers this year and still have yet to find one to replace this one. I love that the color matches very well, and, when I blend it in with a beauty blender, it blends very well. I am a college student so I lack sleep, but this concealer is my go to for covering up my dark under eyes. I may be tired, but I never look it.

Sheer Tint Finishing Powder by E.L.F.
The last step to putting on makeup is covering my face in finishing powder. I typically do not use foundation, and, instead, I replaced it with this finishing powder. 2017 was the first year that I began to add finishing powder to my makeup routine. I went through so many finishing and setting powders before I found this one, but I fell in love with the formula of this specific powder. I love the look of this product and the feel of it. Even when I swipe my at my face later on in the day, I don’t have a line or any mishaps.

Berry Bordeaux Lipstick by E.L.F.
I could fan girl over this lipstick all day. I picked up this lipstick thinking it would be perfect for the fall and winter time and I was not disappointed. When you first put this lipstick on, it is very light, but you can build up the color to make it darker by adding more. I think that was the best part because you can use this lipstick with a ton of different eyeshadow looks.

Milkshake Glossy Lip Injection by Too Faced.
This product quickly became one of my most used glosses. I don’t notice if my lips look any bigger, but I can feel it working. This product is my favorite because of the color. I have never seen a lip gloss that slightly has color but is still shimmery. This product actually made me fall back in love with lip glosses in general.

Maximum Lashes Mascara by Ulta Beauty.
After finding this mascara, I will probably never use any other mascara again. I love how flary this makes my eyelashes look while still being such a deep black color. I know this sounds crazy, but after using a whole bottle of this mascara, I went out and bought three more of this exact mascara. That is how much I love this mascara.

Nivea Face Cream.

I had faithfully used a certain face cream, but it was, unfortunately, discontinued this year, and I had to find a new moisturizer. That was when I discovered the Nivea face cream and my life has been changed. This stuff, I don’t even know how to describe it. It is very thick and a little wet so I do suggest applying it at night instead of morning, but it just depends on what your skin needs. Not only does this do an amazing job as being a moisturizer, it leaves your skin feeling all weightless and glowy.
